Puerto Rico's All New Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino "A Jewel of Hospitality and Value"
When Wilfredo Rodríguez Flores, Chairman of the Board and President of the Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino, was searching for a name for his new hotel in Puerto Rico's luxurious Condado neighborhood, his first and only choice was Diamond Palace. "A diamond is not only the world's finest gem," he said, "but also its most dependable value. That's what my hotel will be."
A Jewel of Value
In the short time it opened early last year, the 151-room Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino has lived up to its name by offering first-class hotel accommodations and services at coach class prices. Rates for the hotel's 33 elegant ocean view suites in its north tower range from $175 to $195 double occupancy year round while the 188 beautifully designed tropical rooms in the south tower range from $95 to $150. These are not economy but world class accomodations. All rooms have modern, quiet, individually controlled and energy efficient air conditioning, private bathroom with full amenities, color Cable TV, refrigerator, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, in-room safe and direct dial telephones. Suites have king size beds, sofa beds, kitchen pantries with microwave ovens and refrigerators, and spectacular views from full-length private balconies. Encore Corporation, the world renowned interior design firm, gave each tower a unique look. The north tower boasts fine Italian fabrics and warm subdued colors, while the sourth tower rooms feature bright and sassy cool tropical blends. All furnishings were custom designed in rattan and specially made in the Philippines to Diamond Palace specifications. Original oil and watercolor paintings by Puerto Rican artist Orlando Santaella, more than 200 in all, add a unique touch to every room. With guests, comfort and safety in mind, the Diamond Palace installed an electronic card-operated door lock system, a computer-controlled state of the art sprinkler system, EPA approved air conditioning units and inspected and approved electrical wiring. Water reserve tanks and back-up generators assure that guests are not affected by power or water shortages.

In addition to world-class accommodations at value prices, the Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino offers extraordinary on-premises hospitality facilities, including three restaurants, a sky-high private banquet hall, a lively 10,500-square-foot casino, fine drinks and enterainment in a Lobby Lounge, a sun deck and fresh water swimming pools.
Its location in the heart of Puerto Rico's fabulous Condado means that its famous white sand beach is just a short block away and scores of boutiques, restaurants, pharmacies and shops are minutes away. It is just 20 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Isla verde, and less than 20 minutes from historic Old San Juan and its cruise ship piers, Puerto Rico's business centers in Hato Rey and Santurce or Plaza Las Americas, the Caribbean's largest mall.
The elegant but relaxed Ristorante Martino, under the leadership of Chef Martino Acosta, in the penthouse of the Diamond Palace's south tower, is famous throughout the Caribbean for its fine cuisine from Italy's Tuscany region its impressive wine list, and spectacular view. The Greenhouse Restaurant, is a landmark for casual dining in Puerto Rico, with valet parking and extended hours for late, late suppers or early morning munchies. There is live music in our Lobby Lounge six evenings a week and special morning activities such as bingo for hotel and casino guests.
The Diamond Palace Casino offers all the best gambling options in Puerto Rico in the friendliest atmosphere. Guests can try their luck at an exciting variety of slot machines and table games, including Black Jack, Roulette, Dice and Mini Baccarat. Salón Diamante, a penthouse conference and banquet hall in the north tower with a spectacular view of the skyline and the sea, can easily accomodate up to 135 people for business conferences, weddings, parties or corporate events.
